I’ve heard about this place for years but never been until today. Let’s just say, I’ll be back. Food and cocktails were spectacular and the service was spot on at the bar! This would easily be my go to restaurant if I lived a bit closer.

Hands down the best place and best staff in the area. The newish owners are amazing and the staff are all awesome. We will always come back. The new owners have made a big difference and always to the extra mile to accommodate us. Btw Liz G and all of them are amazing and made us many fond memories.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while. It was phenomenal. I think the mussels appetizer is the best thing I’ve ever tasted. The herbs, seasoning and flavors were basically genius right down to the bread on the side. Like, really, really blew me away. I got the surf and turf, and the steak was perfectly cooked. Portions were exactly what they should be for the price. The prices are what you’d expect at a seafood restaurant, but actually more on the “fair” side in my opinion. The food has that “fancy-looking, small portion” restaurant aesthetic, but yet, I didn’t leave feeling like I could eat more (if that makes sense). The drinks were good too and not over priced. The atmosphere, flavors, service etc. were all harmonious and had a nice flow. 0 complaints.

We have just returned from a leisurely dinner at Fish Bones. The meal presentation was paced nicely - not hurried at all. Our server, Elisabeth, was professional and her genuine smile made us feel very welcome. Our meal began with shared lobster Rangoon, a house salad, followed by our main dishes which were scallops on risotto and mixed seafood grill. We finished with coffees and shared a vanilla crème brûlée. The meal was ample but not overfilling. Our server paced the presentation very well. My only wish would be for a dipping oil rather than the attractive balls of butter. I could have asked, but did not. In the future, I’ll remember to request dipping oil.

I have been here a handful of times and each time I am always satisfied with the service and food. Having dietary needs is always challenging when dining out, but not here. We will be back again, the dish we tried was the tempeh stir-fry it was perfectly done that you actually thought you were eating an Asian food dish.

Stopped in for dinner for daughter’s College Parents’ Weekend! Absolutely love the industrial chic! Loving the conversion of these majestic mills into gorgeous venues. We ordered oysters (fantastically fresh!), Caesar’s salad (it was ok!), a little surf and turf (it was ok, came out a little on the cold side when I love piping hot food), steak tartar (waitress comment: people seem to love it, but I’m not people, lmao - it was a tad bland but that’s what you get for ordering steak at a place called fish bones), ahi tuna (fabulous!). Overall a great experience! Super friendly staff which I love when visiting from out of town.

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. We had a very serious appt at the hospital and came down from Belgrade Lakes. We asked them where to go for dinner and they recommended Fish Bones Grill. First of all the host on the phone was delightful and said please come over we will save you a table on a Friday night!! Secondly, Liz our server was OUTSTANDING. She was warm and friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Now let’s talk about the food! The Best I have had in Maine. I relocated back to Maine after a career in the hotel and restaurant business in the northwest. I was blown away by the food, the cocktails and the service. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and cozy and EVERYONE was on their game with smiles and service! I am so HAPPY I found you all. I don’t mind traveling the 50 min and already planning my birthday dinner there in May. Keep up the great work, I love hearing the chef calling out the tickets in the open kitchen. It was music to my ears. The detail to the dishes and the quality of the products did not go unnoticed!!! Please know you are truly the best!

Holy smokes! Tell all your friends this place is the best! Wow! The oysters were the freshest I've ever tasted. Rachel the server was amazing friendly and fast! The food is above reproach. Highly highly recommended!! Everything was of the highest quality very impressed!
